The Knight Online Warrior shield macro (kalkan macro) lets you instantly switch to a shield at critical moments and back to your weapon while wielding a two-handed weapon (like a Giga). Manually equipping a shield from your inventory is slow and nearly impossible in the middle of PK. Kozy Macro handles it in the blink of an eye, with smart logic.

How to Set Up the Shield Macro

You use the shield swap feature by binding it to a separate key (e.g. V). Setup steps:

1. Activate the shield macro and bind a key
2. Capture the shield’s coordinate: open your inventory, hover over the shield and capture
3. Capture the left-hand coordinate (note: left hand slot, not the right)
4. If you’ll use a one-handed weapon, check the relevant option (leave it unchecked for two-handed weapons like a Giga)

Automatic Shield: Debuff Trigger

The most powerful aspect of the shield macro is that it auto-equips your shield when you take a debuff. With this option enabled, the moment an opponent lands a debuff on you the macro equips the shield automatically — without you pressing anything.

There’s also a HP color change trigger option. However, since HP color can change for various reasons (like a nova), this option is optional for most players. The debuff trigger is far more reliable.

Smart Synergy with Attack and Whirlwind

What makes Kozy Macro’s shield macro special is how intelligently it blends with other macros:

• No attacking while the shield is equipped: If you equip the shield while attacking, the attack stops immediately. When you remove the shield, the attack resumes where it left off.
• Whirlwind synergy: When you equip the shield while whirlwinding, the attack stops but the whirlwind logic is preserved. Just select the target with Z (e.g. a side key) to keep holding it.
• Echo synergy: Even if a shield swap happens during an echo, the system never loses its order; once you remove the shield it returns to the attack/echo where it left off.

In other words, all the complex situations like “when does it attack while the shield is on, how does it enter R if a whirlwind is active” are resolved automatically by Kozy Macro.

Together with the Restore (Sil) Macro

The shield macro can also be triggered after skills like torment. The same logic applies to the “Restore” (sil) macro. This lets you chain debuff removal and shield equipping at reflex speed.
